Introducing the Roper Inspired Tri-fold Wallet "Alta Edition Tri-fold Wallet"
This Roper Inspired EDC Trifold Wallet is crafted from premium vegetable-tanned leather, which improves with age and use for a stylish, sophisticated look. Lightweight and slim, it's slim enough to fit in any pocket. Open it up to reveal ample credit card slots and a divided billfold. Sturdy construction guarantees long-term durability.
This is a one of a kind wallet. Not many people make Roper Tri-fold Wallets.
This wallet is handmade and hand-sewn using the saddle stitch technique. This makes for a very durable wallet. Very versatile and has that western appeal to it. Has lots of room for credit cards, cash etc. This is a one of a kind wallet designed by me.
Other colors available.
Total of 12 card slots.
Veteran Proud!!

Overall a great wallet - thick material, solid build, nice design.
I ordered 'saddle tan' and it arrived just like a newly built saddle - not quite the color/patina you expect, but ready for you put your mark on it. This wallet (at least in saddle tan) requires conditioning to get the coloring and 'feel' of a polished wallet.
In my case the leather was 'tanned' but not 'broken in' (lighter tan). 3x applications of Mink oil fixed that and brought out that orange/apricot/golden tan patina of a well treated/well used 'saddle tan'. It was nice looking before, but beautiful now, speaking to the quality of the leather. (It also has the 'saddle' tack aroma, which I love.) It darkens the more it rides in my pocket.
I've been using the wallet for a couple weeks and it is _slowly_ breaking in - just like a good saddle. The wallet is still quite stiff - not as 'soft' as a mass-produced wallet - but this is to be expected from the leather used in its construction. Over time, it will become more pliable and comfortable in the pocket.
A couple observations (but not deal breakers, but be aware if unfamiliar with hand-crafted leather):
(1) You will most likely need / want to treat the wallet before you use it to truly bring out its character, color, and patina. Any saddle-tack leather treatment will work. Mink Oil WILL darker the patina
(2) The leather edges are unburnished and 'live'/rough. This could cause unwanted wear on your pockets. Treating the leather, as I did, mitigates this.
(3) A fabric liner is glued to the raw side of the inner leather. Mine is already separating on the tri-fold seams. This liner will also ultimately fray along the edges in time. Not much to be done about this...
(4) The wallet struggles to hold a checkbook. It can, but will become rather thick, unwieldly in the pocket, and a bit distorted until the leather fully breaks in.
(5) The stitching is clearly hand-guided, machine stitch. No computer-controlled precision here. This is NOT a con! It gives character and uniqueness AND speaks to the hand-crafted nature of this wallet. It is perhaps even more solid for this.
This is a simple, solid, true tri-fold roper | rodeo | long wallet. No extra adornments - just a simple, unobtrusive "AnchorsAweighLeather" stamp. No wild design attempting to hold 20+ cards. No crazy stamping to make it look like something it is not. Solid construction that will outlive anything mass-produced. It is authentic, with blemishes, hand-stitching, and patina that makes it unique.
Overall, I love the wallet and would purchase again from Jeffrey! I might even hit him up for a custom commission someday! Quality workmanship.

I had Jeffrey make two custom leather tri-fold leather roper wallets for me. I contacted him with a couple of pictures from a wallet that my brother-in-law has had for seven years. Everyone in our family has looked all over for a replacement but weren’t able to find them. Jeffrey was very professional when I messaged him to see if he was able to make it. He said that he could get the process going and have them made within a couple weeks. They are FANTASTIC! THANK YOU for making them as I gave them to my brother and brother-in-law as soon as I got them and they LOVED THEM! I’m recommending Anchors Aweigh to all my friends and family for leatherwork!
